Dear Parents/Carers,

Thank you to the PFTA for organising an excellent summer fete and putting together the Newport procession for the carnival. I was extremely happy to see so many parents and members of the community attend both events and was thrilled that we were joint winners of the carnival cup.

As this academic year draws to a close wish to thank all members of the community for their support this year. I also wish to thank James Biddulph and Gill Lloyd for assisting the performance club in producing the truly entertaining “Bright Sparks” production.

The warm welcome and encouraging words have been greatly appreciated. I wish to thank all the staff and volunteers for their hard work and commitment.

A special thanks to the children for embracing the changes at Newport so positively and fully.

I am delighted to inform you that we have met or bettered every target set this year and look forward to continued success next year.

I look forward to welcoming everyone back on 1st September 2010.
